Description

This image shows the yearbook photograph of John T. Howell of Brookside, North Carolina. He attended Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) and graduated in 1930 with a bachelor of science degree. He served as president for the summer normal class, president of the Athletic Association, president of the senior class, and editor-in-chief of the Rhododendron. He was also a member of the Watauga County Club. This image was reproduced from the 1930 Rhododendron (p. 28) in 1956.
