This image shows the band playing in formation in the center of College Field during the Homecoming Game in October 1955 at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). The cheerleaders are standing in a line before them, wearing shirts that spell out "Mountaineers," while the majorettes stand in the foreground. Fans can be seen seated on bleachers in the background, and the Men's Gymnasium, built 1934, can be seen on the right.
