Freshman Week, Pep Rally, 1955

Description

This image shows a pep rally held during Freshman Week, 1955. The 1955 varsity cheerleaders can be seen performing a cheer in the middle of the basketball court in one of the campus gymnasiums. Seen on the left are Janet Sue Houck and Bob Sigmon. In the center are x, Julia Ross, and Bill Honeycutt. On the right are Betsy Capel and Bill Rhinehart. Students can be seen seated on bleachers to the left of the image. The pep rally was part of Freshman Week, which included orientation, religious events, campus organization socials, a square dance, and other events aimed at incoming students.
