Title

Freshman Registration, Fee Payment, 1955, photo 1

Description

This image shows freshman students paying fees after registering for classes in the auditorium of the second Administration Building, built 1924. A handful of students are seen paying with checks or cash and an employee sits before a register, while a woman in the foreground is seen copying information into a receipt book. The line can be seen curving around in the background. Freshmen were required to pay fees, including tuition, course and activity fees, housing, meal plans, and laundry expenses before the start of the term. A freshman student could expect to pay approximately $225.00 (in-state) or $310.00 (out-of-state) in expenses.
