Who's Who Among American College Students, 1954

Description

In late 1954, twenty-three Appalachian students were picked to be mentioned in Who's Who Among American College Students, 1954-55. Selectees were picked by the Student Council, heads of departments, and the Executive Council of the College, based on their scholarship, activeness in school events, citizenship, and future promise. This image shows twelve of the twenty-three. Seated, from left to right, is Ben Mast, Janet Sue Houck, James Ziglar, Jackie Snyder, Edith Blair, and Julie Ross. Second row, Don Lineberger, Harold Lakey, and Ina Smith. Third row, Janet Harrison, Ned Trivette, and Betty McGee.
