Description

On May 1, 1954, Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) hosted a one-day business conference for business teachers in the auditorium at I. G. Greer Hall, built 1950. The chief speaker was Dr. Charles E. Zoubek, seen in the image standing next to the blackboard, who spoke on the methods of teaching shorthand. Zoubek was the shorthand editor of Gregg Publishing Company in New York City and published author of many shorthand guides.
