This image shows two 1953 Mountaineers football players on the Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) football field, known as College Field, located south of the Administration Building, built 1924, approximately where Rankin Science Hall was later built in 1963. From left to right, the image shows players Jim Everidge and Jack Groce. Jack Groce was later to become an Assistant Football Coach at Appalachian.
