Playcrafters, "Sight Unseen," May 1953, photo 1

As part of the May Day festivities, the Playcrafters, the dramatic club at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967), would put on a play, cast from the entire student body. In May 1953, the play was "Sight Unseen," a story about a young woman who inherits a haunted house, and tries to sell it while battling with ancestral ghosts. This image shows the cast of the play acting out a scene on stage.
