This image shows the College Employees Banquet, December 18, 1953, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). The banquet was held at Welborn Cafeteria, built 1925. Blanford Barnard Dougherty, president of Appalachian from 1903-1955, can be seen on the left, and J. D. Rankin, dean of the College, on the right.
