Title

John Adams and Horse

Description

John Adams worked for the Dougherty family. He and the horse were photographed in a field on the southern end of the Appalachian Training School (1903-1925). Visible in the background is Justice Hall (built 1920).

The description provided for the original photograph mistakenly identifies this young horse as "Old Bob," the beloved horse of B. B. Dougherty. This image was taken circa late 1930s-early 1940s. "Old Bob" died in 1928.
