Varsity Gymnasium Construction, 1966, photo 1

This image shows the construction of Varsity Gym at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in November 1966. It was completed in 1968 and attached to the western side of Broome-Kirk Gymnasium. It was used for basketball games, convocations, and other events, and could accommodate up to 8,000 people.
