This image shows the Plemmons Student Union building under construction at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in 1966. Construction materials can be seen in the foreground and on the right. Plemmons Student Union, completed in 1967, originally included the campus post office, offices for student activities, recreational and lounge areas, a coffee shop, and a restaurant.
