This image shows a construction worker standing in the cleared area where Plemmons Student Union was to be constructed at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in 1966. Plemmons Student Union, completed in 1967, originally included the campus post office, offices for student activities, recreational and lounge areas, a coffee shop, and a restaurant.
