This image shows the Plemmons Student Union building under construction at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in June 1966. Construction workers can be seen in the foreground and on the building frame. Plemmons Student Union, completed in 1967, originally included the campus post office, offices for student activities, recreational and lounge areas, a coffee shop, and a restaurant.
