Description

This image shows Alfred Denton, professor and chairman of the Department of Sociology at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in 1965. He can be seen sitting in desk in an office. Denton taught sociology in the Department of Social Studies since 1962 and served as the first chairman of the Department of Sociology from 1965 to 1987. He retired in 1992.
