Description

This image shows one of the attendees for the induction of R. B. White into the Appalachian Hall of Fame, standing outside the second Administration Building, built 1924, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) on May 5, 1962. The ceremony took place in I. G. Greer Hall, built 1950, and was sponsored by the Alumni Association. Senator Robert B. White was one of the members of the General Assembly to support the bill to create Appalachian Training School as a state-sponsored institution in 1903.
