Description

This image shows Professor Roger E. Thomas teaching a class in the Department of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in the 1960s. He can be seen holding a model heart. Thomas began teaching at Appalachian State in 1950 and retired in 1982, and served as the Athletic Director for 16 years.
