This image shows Starr Stacy, Jr., professor in the Department of Mathematics at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in 1968. He can be seen sitting in his office in front of a bookshelf. Stacy began teaching at Appalachian State in 1935 and retired in 1974.
