Description

This image shows Charlotte Ross, curator of the Appalachian Collection in the Special Collections Department in Belk Library, built 1968, at Appalachian State University (1967-current), sitting with a man and holding a pile of documents being donated to the Collection in the 1970s. Ross began working at Appalachian State in 1969. The W. L. Eury Appalachian Collection is a repository for materials related to the Southern uplands, with strengths in the social sciences, regional history, folklore, music, religion, genealogy, fiction, and African and Native Appalachia.
