Standing in the background on the right is Ms. Carolyn Coffey Taylor who at the time this photograph was taken was a secretary in the President’s office. She was later to be Ms. Carolyn Heavner and was the Chancellor’s Administrative Assistant.

Description

This image shows Earleen Pritchett standing with Bob Allen, director of the Office of Public Affairs, during Mrs. Pritchett's birthday party at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the 1970s. Mrs. Pritchett served from 1947 to 1955 as secretary to J. D. Rankin, dean of the College, and assistant director of placement. She became administrative assistant to the president in 1961 and retired in 1972. Standing in the background on the right is Ms. Carolyn Coffey Taylor who at the time this photograph was taken was a secretary in the President's office. She was later to be Ms. Carolyn Heavner and was the Chancellor's Administrative Assistant.
