This image shows Allie Austin Hodgin, reference librarian at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967), in the 1960s. She can be seen sitting at a desk in the D. D. Dougherty Library, built 1935. A card catalog can be seen behind her. Hodgin began working in the library in 1934 and retired in 1974.
