This image shows Allie Austin Hodgin, reference librarian at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967), in 1965. Hodgin began working in the library in 1934 and retired in 1974. She can be seen holding a book and standing by a book display. The poster on the right reads, "Read and watch your world grow."
