Description

This image shows Rena Caldwell Hoover, professor of the Department of History at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in 1965. Hoover began working as a secretary at Appalachian State in 1947, and joined the History faculty in 1955. She was the wife of Dr. Francis Hoover, Professor of Health, Physical Education and Recreation. She retired in 1977. This image appears in the 1966 Rhododendron (p. 31).
