D. D. Dougherty Library, Eury and Shook, 1963

This image shows Library Director W. L. Eury and Zebulon Shook standing next to a man in D. D. Dougherty Library, built 1935, at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in April 1963. Eury worked at the library at Appalachian State since 1929, and served as library director from 1945 to 1970. Shook began working in the library in 1953 and was an acquisitions librarian and assistant professor.
