This image shows Eric DeGroat, assistant professor in the Department of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in the 1960s. DeGroat began teaching at Appalachian State in 1959 and also served as coach for swimming, soccer, and track. He can be seen sitting in a chair in an office.
