Description

This image shows the University Theater production of "Alice in Wonderland" in the auditorium of Chapell Wilson Hall, built 1938, at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the early 1970s. "Alice" can be seen standing on the right, watching two men in costume have a conversation. The Department of Theatre and Dance sponsors the University Theatre which produces several plays a year and holds auditions for the season that are open to all students. The department is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre, the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.
