Title

SGA Public Defenders, 1985

Description

This image shows Public Defender Bevin Owens and Deputy Public Defender "Morgan" Morgan in the Student Government Association at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in 1985-86. The public defenders defended students being tried before the judicial board. Founded in 1939-1940 as the Student Council, the Student Government Association serves as the students' only official voice to the Appalachian administration. The Student Senate is the main governing body and is composed of elected on and off campus students. This image appears in the 1986 Rhododendron (p. 77).
