Apartheid Protest, 1986, photo 1

This image shows some students and faculty from Appalachian State University (1967-current) attending an NAACP Apartheid protest in Washington, D.C., on September 14, 1986. The event was attended by forty-six Appalachian State students and faculty, and was followed by a march on the B. B. Dougherty Administration Building to protest Appalachian State's investments in South Africa. This image appears in the 1987 Rhododendron (p. 214).
