This image shows a meeting of the Mountaineer Club at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the early 1970s. A group of men can be seen sitting around a table while another man stands in the center. Glasses and plates can be seen on the table. The Mountaineer Club was a sports club for donors who contributed money to the Athletic Department for athletic scholarships. Members received preference for game tickets, parking passes, and access to special Homecoming activities. Pictured standing is Mr. A.E. McCreary, Boone businessman. The man with glasses seated next to the speaker is Mr. Ned Trivette, Vice Chancellor for Business Affairs.
