Colorguard, 1985, Beverly Dixon

This image shows Colorguard squad leader Beverly Dixon holding a hat and a flag outside at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in 1985-86. In 1985-86, the Colorguard was comprised of 22 members and was known alternatively as the flag team or Flag Corps. Its members were trained in flag twirling and marching, and performed with the Marching Band during athletic events throughout the academic year. This image appears in the 1986 Rhododendron (p. 337).
