Majorettes, 1968-69

This image shows the Majorettes posing at Conrad Stadium, built 1962, at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in 1968-69. Seen standing on bleachers are Vicki Yeargan, Sharon Morris, Nancy Stacy, Debbie Webster, Diane Cater, and Margaret Wright. The Majorettes formed in 1939 as the Baton Twirling Club and performed routinely at parades and athletic events with the Marching Band during the academic year.
