This image shows some members of the audience for the Appalachian State University (1967-current) Homecoming parade standing on King Street in Boone, NC, in October 1972. The Lid Boutique can be seen on the right. Part of the parade can be seen on the right. Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen. The Hubbard Center for Faculty and Staff Support is named for Dr. Hubbard. The man on the far right wearing the white coat is Dr. William C. Hubbard (Counselor Education and Research faculty).
