Description
This image shows a float being decorated for use in the Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) Homecoming Parade in October 1964. Students can be seen adding tissue paper to the edges of a float. The Greek letters for Phi Beta Lambda and Pi Omega Pi can be seen on the side. Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen.
