Homecoming Floats, 1964, photo 11

This image shows a float being decorated for use in the Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) Homecoming Parade in October 1964. A group of students can be seen sitting on a frame, watching as two women work on the tissue paper decorations on the side. Two men can be seen standing on the float. Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen.
