Homecoming Parade, 1966, photo 3

This image shows a float in the Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) Homecoming parade driving down a street in October 1966. A group of students are dressed as a Central or South American family and standing by a patch of corn stalks. The side of the float reads, "ASTC Spanish Club." Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen.
