Homecoming Game, 1966, awards, photo 1

This image shows two members of the Alumni Association presenting the Bob Broome trophy to a football player during halftime at Conrad Stadium, built 1962, during Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) Homecoming game in October 1966. Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen. Alumni Association member on the left is Mr. F.P. Bodenheimer; on he right is Alumni Association member Mr. John Welborn who is also the cafeteria manager. This image appears in the 1967 Rhododendron (p. 70).
