This image shows Sharon Dodge, the Homecoming queen, sitting in a convertible at Conrad Stadium, built 1962, after being crowned at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in October 1966. Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen.
