Homecoming Game, 1985

This image shows the crowd tearing down a goal post at Conrad Stadium, rebuilt 1979, after the Homecoming game at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in October 1985. Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen. Conrad Stadium was renamed Kidd-Brewer in 1988. This image appears in the 1986 Rhododendron (p. 328).
