Homecoming Parade, 1965, Yosef

This image shows Yosef, the Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) mascot, marching in the Homecoming parade on King Street in Boone, NC, in October 1965. Onlookers can be seen standing in the background. Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen.
