Homecoming Queen, 1973

This image shows Kathryn Roessel, the 1973 Homecoming Queen at Appalachian State University (1967-current), standing outside by a stone wall in October 1973. Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen.
