Description
This image shows the performance of the play "Antigone" at the Valborg Theater in Chapell Wilson Hall, built 1938, at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in November 1986. Antigone (Karen Duckett) can be seen talking with Ismene (Erin Greene) while King Creon (Wayne Britt) stands in the right. The performance was produced by the University Theatre. The Department of Theatre and Dance sponsors the University Theatre which produces several plays a year and holds auditions for the season that are open to all students. This image appears in the 1987 Rhododendron (p. 105).
