This image shows the performance of the play "The Skin of Our Teeth" at the Valborg Theater in Chapell Wilson Hall, built 1938, at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in February 1986. A mammoth (Travis Carter) and a dinosaur (David Gilpin) can be seen sitting on a stage. The performance was produced by the University Theatre. The Department of Theatre and Dance sponsors the University Theatre which produces several plays a year and holds auditions for the season that are open to all students. This image appears in the 1986 Rhododendron (p. 57).
