Volunteers for Youth, 1985

This image shows the members of the Volunteers for Youth organization at Appalachian State University (1967-current) for 1985-86. Members of Volunteers for Youth served as big brothers or big sisters for disadvantaged youth in Watauga County and surrounding areas. Standing on the far right of the back row is Dr. Jay Wentworth, the organizations advisor and an interdisciplinary studies faculty member. This image appears in the 1986 Rhododendron (p. 94).
