Intramural Staff, 1986-87

This image shows the 1986-87 intramural staff at Appalachian State University (1967-current) outside standing and sitting by a stone wall. The intramural staff helped organize and manage intramural sports, including volleyball, golf, tennis, badminton, racquetball, horseshoes, and soccer. Intramurals are now part of University Recreation. This image appears in the 1987 Rhododendron (p. 366). Standing on the far right of the third row is Dr. James Avant, Director of Recreation and Intramurals.
