Athletic Trainers, 1985-86, photo 1

This image shows Laura Taylor, an athletic trainer for the Athletic Department at Appalachian State University (1967-current), standing at a Mountaineer football game in 1986. Players can be seen in the background. Athletic trainers included staff and students enrolled in the Athletic Training Curriculum, and worked to prevent and treat athletic injuries. Each varsity sport had at least one athletic trainer assigned to it, excepting football which had four. This image appears in the 1986 Rhododendron (p. 304).
