Observers can be seen in the background. The Training for Teacher Trainers (Triple-T) Project was a grant-funded program at Appalachian State University to retrain teachers already in the work force, using new methods for teaching teachers with students in actual classroom situations. It was part of a group of educational research projects including the Appalachian Training Complex, the Lighthouse School Program, and the Teacher Corps. Around thirty Appalachian State professors partook in the project between 1970 and 1973.
