Description

This image shows a class standing by a boat next to a lake during an outdoor educational program held by Appalachian State University (1967-current) in June 1968. A student can be seen throwing water from a bucket into the lake. Outdoor Programs began in 1973, and offered outdoor expeditions, trips, clinics, workshops and training in outdoor activities including caving, climbing, kayaking, rafting, and backpacking. It is part of the programs offered by University Recreation in the Division of Student Development.
