This image shows nine of the top ten freshmen in the Honors Program at Appalachian State University (1967-current) for the 1974-75 academic year. The image shows, in the front row, Cynthia Hoover, Jane Hill, Sarah Scruggs, and Elizabeth Camp, and in the second row, Karen Knox, Cathy Powers, Laura Craig, Paula Edwards, and Dorothy Stowe. The Honors Program is an academic and residential community for high achieving students and is open to freshmen, transfer students, and current students at Appalachian State.
