Description

This image shows a man giving a presentation to a group of incoming students during freshman orientation at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the 1970s. A picture of a student sitting in a dorm room can be seen on a screen. Freshmen orientation included welcome addresses, advising, program meetings, campus tours and registering for classes, as well as placement testing. The man making the presentation is Mr. Robert E. Snead, Vice Chancellor for Development and Public Affairs.
