Description

This image shows student Derrick Graham speaking with Brad Berndt, academic advisor for athletes in the General College at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in 1985-86. The General College was formed in 1967 and originally held nonacademic functions, as well as several academic programs such as International Programs, Interdisciplinary Studies, Freshman Seminar, and the Honors Program. Between 2005 and 2007, the College was reorganized into the University College to include General Education, co-curricular programs, and interdisciplinary degree programs. This image appears in the 1986 Rhododendron (p. 240).
